Role and responsibilities
- Prepare detailed work programs and material procurement schedules with the Planning Engineer.
- Initiate mobilization of resources for site facilities and project setup with the Project Manager.
- Implement the construction program as directed by the Project Manager.
- Prepare monthly manpower and material forecasts.
- Review daily work schedules, equipment needs, and manpower requirements with foremen.
- Review progress reports and advise on issues affecting completion, particularly quality, costs, and schedules.
- Review construction drawings and resolve discrepancies with Engineering or the Consultant.
- Source materials to specifications and prepare submittals for Consultant approval.
- Monitor site personnel safety performance and recommend improvements to safety procedures.
- Attend Consultant inspections and complete necessary follow-up.
- Monitor subcontractor quality and schedule compliance.
- Prepare as-built drawings and project manuals and complete documentation at handover.
Candidate profile
- Engineering degree in civil engineering; professional engineering certification where applicable.
- At least 10 years of civil, commercial, or industrial high-rise building construction experience, including direct supervision of major construction sites.
- Certified Engineer (Unlimited Floors) is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of engineering design and construction codes.
- Strong construction scheduling, site management, budget management, and cost reporting skills.
- Experience handling subcontractor variance reports and claims settlements.
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and supervise third-party contractors.
Pay
- AED 19,000–20,000 per month.
