Project Engineer

Role overview

Project planning and site management

• Coordinate architects, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders; develop and monitor schedules and milestones.
• Review project plans for feasibility and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise on-site construction for safety, specification, and quality compliance; resolve issues and delays.
• Manage material procurement, resource allocation, equipment needs, and site safety measures.

Cost, quality, and communication

• Assist with budgets, monitor costs, and report change orders and budget deviations.
• Inspect construction work and materials, and coordinate corrective measures for quality issues.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate with management, clients, and project stakeholders.

Documentation and compliance

• Ensure permits and approvals are in place and comply with local construction regulations and environmental standards.
• Maintain project documentation, including contracts, reports, and meeting minutes.

Experience and qualifications

• Requires 8–10 years of project engineering experience in high-rise and residential buildings; the posting also specifies at least 8 years of UAE experience.
• Large-scale residential project experience is sought; villa construction experience is described as not preferred.
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Requires knowledge of construction methods, project and contract management, and local construction codes and regulations.

Skills and credentials

• Project management software proficiency, such as MS Project or Primavera, is requested.
• Problem-solving, decision-making, team and budget management, leadership, communication, quality focus, and ability to manage multiple tasks are listed.
• PMP or LEED certification is a plus.

Compensation

• The description lists pay of AED 8,000–10,000 per month and separately AED 9,000–10,000 per month.
