Electrical Foreman overseeing electrical site activities for large-scale residential, commercial, or industrial construction projects in the UAE.
Reports to the Electrical Engineer or Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site installation of conduit, wiring, lighting, power distribution, and panel boards.
- Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with DEWA, ADDC, relevant UAE authorities, electrical codes, and safety protocols.
- Allocate work to electricians and helpers and monitor productivity and workmanship.
- Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, subcontractors, and procurement; monitor material use and supply.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, guide junior staff, and maintain progress, daily, and inspection records.
- Assist with testing and commissioning completed electrical systems.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 8–10 years of UAE experience in electrical work on construction projects; at least 8 years of UAE experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, including DEWA, ADDC, and Civil Defense requirements.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills; ability to manage teams and multitask under pressure.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic, Hindi, or Urdu is a plus.
- Valid UAE driving license preferred but not mandatory.
Pay and employment
- Full-time position.
- Pay starts at AED 5,000 per month.
