Prepare accurate MEP drawings for electrical and plumbing systems in construction projects in the UAE.
The position is full-time and lists in-person work location.
Drawing and coordination duties
- Prepare detailed electrical and plumbing shop drawings from project specifications and consultant drawings.
- Revise drawings based on engineer, site, or client instructions and ensure compliance with local authority requirements.
- Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural drawings to avoid clashes.
- Assist with as-built drawings and maintain drawing and revision records.
- Liaise with site engineers and supervisors, review design layouts, and attend coordination meetings to resolve drawing issues.
Tools and systems
- Use AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks to develop coordinated MEP models.
- Revit MEP is listed as an advantage; HVAC drafting is optional but a plus, and BIM 3D coordination knowledge is preferred.
Qualifications and experience
- Requires a diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Requires 5+ years of UAE experience in a similar construction or contracting role.
- Requires strong AutoCAD proficiency, knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems, and familiarity with UAE authority standards and submission processes.
- Requires the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and coordinate effectively under deadline pressure.
- A UAE driving license is preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 7,000–8,000 per month.
