Overview
Skilled Careers UAE are working with a well-established construction contractor in the UAE that is looking to appoint an experienced
Project Director
to lead the delivery of large-scale building projects.
This opportunity is suited to a senior construction professional with a strong background managing complex developments and leading project teams across the GCC.
The successful individual will take ownership of project delivery, ensuring programmes are achieved, commercial targets are met, client expectations are exceeded, and teams are effectively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
The Role
- Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of major construction projects from mobilisation through to completion
- Lead and manage project teams to ensure programme, cost, quality and operational objectives are achieved
- Provide leadership across all project functions including construction, commercial, planning and technical teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders
- Identify project risks and implement strategies to maintain delivery targets
- Monitor overall project performance and drive solutions where challenges arise
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with company procedures, safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Support and mentor teams while driving a collaborative and high-performance culture
Requirements
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- PMP certification would be advantageous
- 20+ years of construction industry experience
- Minimum 8 years in a senior management role within the GCC market
- Strong experience delivering major
- building projects
- across sectors such as commercial, residential and mixed-use developments
- Demonstrated history of delivering high-value construction projects for leading contractors
- Strong client-facing capabilities and stakeholder management experience
- Excellent leadership, communication and team management skills
