Role Description
The Project Director is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-impact projects across the organization.
This role provides strategic oversight, governance, and direction to ensure projects are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
The position plays a critical role in translating strategic priorities into actionable project plans and ensuring successful implementation through effective leadership and coordination.
Key responsibilities
include defining project scope and objectives, establishing governance structures, and overseeing project planning, execution, and performance tracking.
The role manages cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment, clear communication, and effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
It also involves identifying risks and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies, and ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner.
The Project Director is expected to drive accountability and performance across multiple workstreams, ensuring consistency in delivery standards and methodologies.
The role also supports continuous improvement by refining project management practices, optimizing resource utilization, and enhancing delivery efficiency.
Strong stakeholder management is essential, particularly in engaging senior leadership and ensuring transparency on progress, risks, and outcomes.
This position requires a balance of strategic thinking and executional discipline, with a strong focus on outcomes, quality, and organizational impact.
The ability to lead through complexity, influence without direct authority, and maintain clarity under pressure is essential.
Qualifications
- Strong project and program management capabilities with experience in leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and align diverse teams
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate business objectives into structured project plans
- Advanced problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and delivery best practices
- High level of accountability, judgment, and decision-making capability
