Lead end-to-end delivery of international data center projects, overseeing project management, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Ensure safe, timely, cost-effective delivery in line with approved design, governance, and international standards while coordinating internal teams, contractors, consultants, and authorities.
Project delivery and governance
- Lead project implementation from mobilization through construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Align delivery with approved designs, Employer’s Requirements, governance frameworks, contracts, and authority requirements.
- Develop delivery plans across multiple regions and sites; oversee quality, safety, schedule, and cost targets.
- Coordinate stakeholders, contractors, vendors, consultants, and technical teams; chair progress meetings, track actions, and resolve issues.
- Manage risks, variations, claims, and commercial matters; oversee commissioning, performance testing, readiness reviews, and operational acceptance.
- Manage handover documentation, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals, and secure readiness sign-off.
- Ensure compliance with standards, certifications, policies, and regulatory requirements; manage contractor evaluations and close technical reviews.
- Monitor budgets, invoices, variations, resources, and financial performance; drive sustainability, innovation, productivity, continuous improvement, and cost reduction.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- 10+ years in data center project management and implementation, including 7+ years in a Director-level role.
- Experience delivering large-scale, complex, mission-critical data center projects.
- Expertise in data center design review, project management, construction, and commissioning; knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier standards.
Technical and leadership competencies
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, networking, storage, servers, and security systems.
- Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder, contractor, risk, and commercial management skills.
- Knowledge of local and international industry standards, regulatory requirements, and compliance practices; strong English and planning skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across locations, with delivery leadership, operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
