The Operations Agent owns operational execution across Ocean and Logistics, including shipment-file creation, coordination, and closure.
Create and execute customer shipments according to implementation plans and customer requirements, including QHSE and reporting.
Customer and shipment execution
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned customers and coordinate the end-to-end shipment lifecycle, including inland delivery.
- Understand customer supply-chain needs and urgency, align on expectations, and respond with proposed solutions.
- Track shipments proactively and communicate transport-plan deviations with potential solutions or alternatives.
- Onboard customers and build strong, collaborative relationships focused on solutions.
Operations and coordination
- Liaise with suppliers and prepare transport plans.
- Manage day-to-day customer relationships and operational execution, and provide daily EDI updates.
- Create sales orders, purchase orders, and shipment files in operational systems.
- Support efficiency, automation, and standardization; protect service quality involving third-party suppliers and partners.
- Ensure execution and reporting meet compliance requirements.
