Join Maersk Procurement as Category Manager in the Terminal Procurement team for West and Central Asia.

Key responsibilities
- Create portfolio category strategies aligned with global and regional strategies and customer value goals.
- Partner with suppliers and support procurement priorities in environment and sustainability, resilience, and digitalization.
- Analyze spend patterns to identify cost drivers and opportunities in complex marketplaces.
- Develop models to analyze supplier offers and quantify total costs and total value of ownership.
- Prepare negotiation strategies and lead supplier negotiations.
- Update contract management tools to support contract compliance.
- Communicate complex messages clearly to leadership.
- Deliver work on time and in line with procurement targets.
- Create customer value while safeguarding cost competitiveness in cooperation with internal stakeholders.
Candidate profile
- Bachelor’s degree at minimum; an MBA or master’s degree is preferred.
- Solid work experience focused on procurement or sales.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment as a team player.
- Financial or Excel modeling experience is preferred.
- Willingness to travel and ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment.
- Ability to build stakeholder trust, execute under pressure, and deliver toward business objectives.
