Assistant Supply Chain Manager in Maersk Procurement, coordinating logistics and supply chain activity for vessel spares.
The role is a fixed-term position lasting seven months.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and maintain logistics networks and shipment frequencies to forward spares to vessels on time.
- Plan logistics with third-party logistics providers and customs house agents; follow up on warehouse and vessel deliveries.
- Align supply chain and category strategy with procurement counterparts.
- Monitor fleet performance data, develop improvement plans, and discuss actions with stakeholders.
- Follow procure-to-pay processes, ensure timely vendor payments, and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Manage stakeholders across technical organizations, category teams, and logistics partners.
- Ensure optimum vessel-budget use and compliance with SOPs, contract terms, and international regulations.
- Apply the right-price, right-place, right-time, and right-quantity principle and minimize supply-chain emissions.
- Respond urgently to pressing matters with key stakeholders.
Candidate requirements
- At least 4–5 years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree at minimum, with a logistics or supply chain background.
- Good understanding of supply chain management and international logistics.
- Strong analytical abilities, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, communication, and customer-service mindset.
- Able to manage numerous tasks within limited timeframes in a structured, detail-conscious manner.
- Broad knowledge of technical matters, vessel operations, or customs rules and regulations is preferred.
