The Project Coordination Engineer role requires a mechanical engineering background and experience in project coordination, tendering, technical office activities, and project documentation.
The role supports mechanical/MEP projects and coordinates with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate mechanical project activities from tendering through execution.
- Review mechanical drawings, P&IDs, equipment schedules, technical specifications, BOQs, and tender and RFQ documents.
- Prepare and coordinate technical and material submittals, compliance statements, deviation sheets, technical proposals, method statements, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project execution teams; follow up on approvals, submissions, comments, and project requirements.
- Support tendering, estimation, technical proposal preparation, technical clarifications, and coordination during execution.
- Maintain project documentation, trackers, and submission records.
- Support preparation and updating of mechanical drawings using AutoCAD.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of experience in mechanical projects, tendering, technical office work, or project coordination.
- Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, P&IDs, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Hands-on experience preparing technical and material submittals.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills; ability to manage multiple project requirements and deadlines.
Preferred experience and tools
- Experience in MEP, HVAC, piping, water treatment, cooling systems, or data center projects is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with Revit or BIM is an advantage.
