Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Define the program plan, scope, business objectives, governance, delivery structure, charter, workstreams, critical paths, dependencies, and success criteria.
• Lead program kickoffs and align executive client stakeholders on scope and governance.
• Map stakeholders and communications; plan program resources and oversee discovery outputs and execution backlogs.
• Chair client steering committees, executive reviews, and cross-workstream governance forums.
• Own the executive client relationship and manage enterprise stakeholder priorities and organizational dynamics.
• Partner with sales and account leaders to identify account growth and scope future engagements.
• Manage program change control and assess cumulative change impacts on budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Maintain the master schedule, critical path, delivery health, RAID log, and mitigation and escalation of risks.
• Direct project managers and coordinate cross-pod alignment, go-live, and cutover readiness.
• Act as the internal escalation point for complex delivery blockers, client disputes, and cross-workstream conflicts.
• Own program budgets, margins, actuals, financial reporting, milestone invoicing, collections, resource forecasts, and capacity planning.
• Mentor cross-functional teams, oversee delivery quality and contracted value, and evolve the delivery playbook.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of program or senior project management experience leading large, complex, multi-workstream digital transformations.
• Deep digital agency, system integrator, or consultancy experience; SOW-based delivery, billable utilization, and margin management are essential.
• Ability to lead executive stakeholder relationships, navigate enterprise politics, deliver difficult messages, and maintain client trust.
• Extensive experience running formal program governance, steering committees, and executive reporting.
• Experience with multi-million-dollar budgets, EAC, and resource forecasting.
• Experience managing, mentoring, or holding project managers or workstream leads accountable.
• E-commerce implementation or large-scale enterprise systems integration background; Shopify Plus is a significant asset.
• Deep understanding of enterprise agile frameworks, such as Scrum of Scrums or disciplined agile delivery.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• PgM, PMP, CSM, or equivalent certifications are highly valued.

Compensation

• Pay range is CAD 135,000 to CAD 175,000 per year in Vancouver.
