PRODUCTION MANAGER (PERFUME)

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily fragrance blending, compounding, filling, bottling, labeling, and packaging operations; develop plans and schedules to meet demand and deadlines.
• Supervise, train, and manage production staff; monitor raw-material and finished-product quality and ensure regulatory, health, safety, and quality compliance.
• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to secure raw materials, packaging, and finished goods; monitor inventory and reduce wastage.
• Implement quality controls, investigate defects, and maintain accurate production, batch, and inventory records.
• Improve production efficiency, reduce costs, optimize workflows, and ensure equipment is maintained and operated safely.
• Provide management with regular updates on production performance, challenges, and requirements.

Qualifications and requirements

• Proven experience in perfume, fragrance, cosmetics, or related manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of perfume production processes, including compounding, blending, filling, and packaging.
• Familiarity with quality-control procedures and fragrance manufacturing documentation; knowledge of perfume regulations, safety requirements, and GMP.
• Leadership, team management, planning, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple activities and meet deadlines.
• A degree or diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred experience and tools

• Previous management of a perfume or fragrance production facility is preferred.
• Familiarity with fragrance oils, perfume alcohol, raw materials, and packaging components is preferred.
• Batch tracking, production planning, quality assurance, and inventory-control experience is preferred.
• Microsoft Excel and production or inventory management systems proficiency is advantageous.
