Role overview

Lead MANEL's Dubai production facility across planning, pattern making, cutting, sewing, finishing, quality, and dispatch.

The mandate is to deliver garments right first time and on time while minimizing fabric waste.

About MANEL

MANEL is a Dubai luxury fashion house founded in 2019, combining French silhouettes with Gulf modesty and presence.

Its occasion wear is made at its Dubai production facility and stocked at Harvey Nichols, Galeries Lafayette Doha, Ounass, and Tryano.

Production planning and quality

  • Build daily and weekly production plans from ready-to-go work, wholesale orders, and made-to-measure requests.
  • Ensure materials are issued before each working day; track missing materials and escalate shortages.
  • Supervise pattern making, cutting, sewing, and finishing, resolving production-floor issues.
  • Set written quality specifications for stitching, fit, finishing, pressing, and packaging.
  • Inspect incoming materials, work in progress, and finished items; audit fabric for shade, defects, and shrinkage.
  • Analyze defects, alterations, and returns with production and design teams.

Waste, dispatch, and team

  • Optimize cutting layouts and manage remnants; track and reduce rework, scrap, and quality-related returns.
  • Supervise packing and timely dispatch of urgent and wholesale orders to luxury presentation standards.
  • Inspect returns and grade items for resale, repair, or write-off, reporting the causes.
  • Lead, train, and motivate tailors, cutters, and finishers.
  • Work with the Creative Director on production-ready garments, samples, and prototypes; maintain materials, sample, and swatch catalogues.

What you bring

  • 6+ years in garment production, including 3+ years leading a production or quality team; luxury, couture, or occasion wear experience is ideal.
  • Strong pattern-making and garment-construction knowledge, with hands-on finishing skills.
  • Experience with delicate fabrics such as chiffon, silk, crepe, and embellished materials.
  • Working knowledge of inspection standards and checklists, production planning, and spreadsheets or an ERP system.
  • Clear communication in English; Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, or Tagalog is a plus.

Success measures

Right-first-time rate at final inspection, rework and alteration rate, fabric utilization and scrap rate, quality- or fit-related returns, and on-time online and wholesale dispatch.

Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience; salary cadence is not specified.
  • UAE employment visa, health insurance, annual leave, and end-of-service gratuity in line with UAE Labour Law.
  • Working hours follow UAE Labour Law; peak-season overtime is compensated as required by law.
  • Opportunity to build the quality system of a growing luxury house.

Workplace

  • On-site, full-time role in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
