The Product Owner defines product direction, manages the backlog, and drives delivery of high-value data solutions with business and technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Define product vision, objectives, roadmap, and priorities for data initiatives.
- Own and prioritize the product backlog; translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate with data, engineering, architecture, QA, Scrum Masters, and business teams throughout delivery.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and provide timely decisions and clarifications during development and testing.
- Review delivered features against requirements and acceptance criteria; coordinate UAT, feedback, and sign-off.
- Manage product risks, dependencies, issues, and scope changes; track progress and communicate status and decisions.
- Align business objectives with technical implementation and support continuous improvement.
Mandatory skills and experience
- At least 8 years of overall IT experience and at least 5 years as a Product Owner.
- Strong experience with Scrum/Agile teams delivering data projects and strong understanding of data and digital initiatives.
- Proven backlog ownership, prioritization, user story creation, and acceptance criteria definition.
- Strong stakeholder management across business and technology teams.
- Experience working with Data Engineering, Data Analytics, QA, Architecture, and Engineering teams.
- Strong Agile/Scrum and product delivery expertise; hands-on Jira and Confluence experience.
- Strong communication, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
