Position Summary
UFA is seeking an experienced Product Owner for its mobile app and MyUFA digital platform.
The role reports to the Director, Innovation & IT Services, who acts as the Product Manager.
The Product Owner guides customer and user experience to increase satisfaction and loyalty.
Product and Stakeholder Responsibilities
- Define and communicate product vision and strategy for the mobile app and MyUFA platform.
- Liaise with customers, development teams, and business units to gather requirements and feedback.
- Advocate for customer outcomes and reduce friction in UFA’s digital platforms.
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed feature specifications.
- Deliver product results with project managers and other team members in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Planning and Delivery
- Plan execution with the Scrum Master and development team to align deliverables with product vision and business goals.
- Assist with feature prioritization and align budgets with priorities and constraints.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify improvements and innovation opportunities.
- Collaborate with QA to ensure features meet quality standards before release.
- Track product performance metrics to inform future development decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in a Product Owner or similar role.
- Mobile app or digital platform experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in web and mobile design principles, including UX and UI design.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
