Procurement Officer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage supplier, distributor, vendor, and manufacturer relationships.
• Source IT infrastructure products, including switches, routers, firewalls, servers, storage, wireless access points, and CCTV equipment.
• Compare supplier quotations by price, specifications, availability, warranty, delivery, and payment terms.
• Process approved purchase orders and coordinate product specifications and customer needs with Sales and Presales.
• Track order confirmations, delivery schedules, backorders, and shipments.
• Coordinate deliveries, shipping records, supplier invoices, and payments with Logistics and Accounts.
• Maintain purchasing, quotation, invoice, delivery, and supplier records.
• Negotiate pricing, discounts, credit terms, and commercial conditions.
• Monitor stock and support inventory planning.
• Coordinate warranty claims, replacements, returns, and defective-product issues.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
• Purchasing, procurement, or supply-chain operations experience; IT or IT distribution experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of IT hardware, networking products, security solutions, and technical specifications is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, email, and purchase-order documentation.
• ERP, inventory, or procurement-system experience is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, coordination, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple purchase requests simultaneously.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 2,500 to AED 2,501 per month.
