Role overview

Accounting and bookkeeping

• Maintain books of accounts, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
• Record supplier invoices, customer receipts, and petty cash transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Handle bank reconciliations and maintain cash flow statements.

Tax and financial reporting

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, file VAT returns, and maintain records.
• Stay updated on UAE corporate tax laws and assist with tax-related documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors and government authorities when required.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Generate profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and expense analyses; prepare audit schedules and liaise with auditors.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience; UAE IT or trading company experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
• Understanding of UAE VAT and corporate tax laws.
• Excellent MS Excel and analytical skills; attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Telugu-speaking candidates are highly preferred.
