Seeking an experienced purchaser with expertise in import and local purchasing, supplier management, and negotiation.
Location: UAE. Employment type: Full-Time.
Salary
- AED 6,000–10,000 per month.
Key responsibilities
- Handle import and local purchases from sourcing through delivery.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable local and international suppliers.
- Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate terms, and finalize purchase orders.
- Manage import purchasing, including shipping and documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and internal departments.
- Monitor purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain purchasing records and supplier documentation.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
- Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Follow up on pending orders and ensure materials meet specifications.
- Coordinate purchasing requirements with Stores, Sales, Accounts, and Management.
- Ensure purchases follow company policies and approval procedures.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of relevant purchasing experience and proven experience in both import and local purchasing.
- Automotive spare parts, particularly European trucks and trailers, is highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of international purchasing, shipping, logistics, and import documentation.
- Strong supplier negotiation and vendor management skills.
- UAE local supplier and market knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems; Odoo experience is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple purchasing requirements and meet deadlines.
