The employer seeks an experienced and skilled purchaser with expertise in import and local purchasing, supplier management, and negotiation.
Compensation
- Salary is AED 3,000–5,000 per month.
Purchasing duties
- Handle import and local purchases from sourcing to delivery.
- Identify and develop reliable local and international suppliers.
- Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate terms, and finalize purchase orders.
- Manage import purchasing, shipping, and documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and internal departments.
- Monitor orders, follow up on pending deliveries, and ensure materials meet specifications.
- Maintain purchasing records and supplier documentation.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions; monitor market prices and cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate purchasing requirements with Stores, Sales, Accounts, and Management.
- Follow company policies and approval procedures for purchases.
Experience and qualifications
- Requires 2–3 years of relevant purchasing experience and proven experience in both import and local purchasing.
- Good knowledge of international purchasing, shipping, logistics, and import documentation is required.
- Strong supplier negotiation and vendor management skills are required.
- Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills are required.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems is required; Odoo experience is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and meet deadlines is required.
Preferred and advantageous experience
- Automotive spare parts or European truck and trailer spare-parts experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of UAE local suppliers and the market is an advantage.
Workplace and employment
- Full-time role; work location is in person.
