We are Looking for a highly organized and proactive Procurement Officer to manage the purchasing activities of the company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring the timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process purchase requisitions from various departments and projects.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery performance.
- Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company procedures.
- Monitor and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Coordinate with project teams, stores, and end users regarding procurement requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance and resolving procurement-related issues.
- Prepare procurement reports and provide regular updates to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of procurement experience, preferably in **Building construction**, facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract administration.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in UAE procurement and local supplier markets.
- Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and service procurement.
