We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Manager for a leading company in Qatar operating in the Water Treatment / Utilities sector.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain activities to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project and operational needs
- Manage vendor sourcing, evaluation, negotiations, and contract administration
- Ensure timely procurement of chemicals, equipment, spare parts, and services
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Optimize procurement costs while maintaining quality standards
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, and finance teams for planning and budgeting
- Ensure compliance with Qatar regulations, company policies, and HSE standards
- Maintain procurement records, reports, and documentation
- Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategies
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- 7–10 years of procurement experience
- Preferably from water treatment, utilities, or industrial sectors
- Strong knowledge of sourcing, contract management, and supplier negotiations
- Familiarity with Qatar market suppliers and regulations
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office
- Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
