About the Role

Ensure that all new suppliers have completed the vendor registration process in coordination with the vendor management officer and the approval of the same prior to processing the purchase orders and or contracts.

To perform vendor evaluation and ensure that vendor performance meets or exceeds the standards and adheres to our overall company policies and procedures, recommend for change based upon performance and budgetary considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Build a robust database of sources of supply and a comprehensive network of alternative suppliers which reduces vulnerability of the supply chain and provides overall flexibility and reliability.
  • Ensure deliveries of all major, critical and fast-moving materials in a timely manner and in sufficient quantity to maximize business efficiency and enhance customer service.
  • Carry out checks in completing procurement transactions: securing adjustments on claims for shortage or poor quality, vendor invoices for returns and for credit or exchange.
  • Provide groundwork and support in the identification of the right suppliers and service providers to receive quotations for the tenders and also for submission to the existing clients on the variation works.
  • Participate in the development of procurement strategies by processing documents with relevant information and monitoring strategies.
  • Accountable for identifying and executing cost saving initiatives, process improvements and standardization in order to increase efficiency.
  • Ensure priorities are handled effectively by modifying plans and actions in your area of accountability.
  • Analyze purchasing trends to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply and exploit opportunities.
  • Analyze procurement problems and suggest corrective actions.
  • Follow up and resolve complaints, resolution of escalated issues and higher level transactions, including expediting service requests delivery, work order execution to achieve a high degree of service to the internal customers.
  • Assist in the development of procurement material and procedures including guidance on record retention, record storage and procurement procedures.
  • Ensure adherence of the HSE policies and procedures or for any new certification policy that may be obtained and effective implementation of the same.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree is a must, PG Degree / PG Diploma is preferred.
  • Relevant professional certification is a must.

Required Skills

  • 5 - 7 years relevant experience is must with preferably minimum 2 years Supervisory Experience.
  • Excellent Negotiation Skills and people Management Skills.
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills.
  • Numerical Ability and Process and result orientation.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving skills and ownership and accountability.
  • Advanced communication skills in English (Oral and Written) and knowledge in other languages will be an advantage.
