Role overview
The Procurement Officer manages sourcing, purchasing, supplier coordination, and procurement follow-up for event rental and project requirements.
The role seeks products, materials, and services at the required quality, cost, specification, and timeline.
Sourcing and purchasing
- Review internal requests and source furniture, event equipment, materials, customized items, and outsourced services locally and internationally.
- Identify suppliers, compare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and recommend suppliers for approval.
- Coordinate purchase orders, confirmations, order follow-up, and delivery; verify specifications, quantities, and quality.
Coordination and supplier management
- Coordinate project-specific requirements with consultants and site coordinators and deliveries with warehouse and logistics teams.
- Escalate delivery delays, shortages, specification changes, and supplier issues.
- Maintain procurement records and coordinate documentation with Finance; support rental inventory sourcing and seek alternative suppliers.
- Maintain supplier relationships and follow internal approval procedures.
Experience and skills
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply-chain coordination.
- Events, hospitality, furniture, fit-out, production, or related industry experience is preferred; Qatar supplier-market knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong negotiation, commercial, organization, follow-up, and detail skills; able to manage multiple urgent needs.
- Good written and spoken English and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- International purchasing, shipping, or import experience is an advantage.
Pay
- Listed pay is QAR 4,000–6,000 per hour.

- Work location is in person.
