Role overview

Responsibilities

• Manage team technical, cost, and schedule execution; plan tasks, milestones, and schedules; track earned value and competing priorities.
• Design, prototype, develop, integrate, test, and analyze system capabilities.
• Support requirements, design, development in C and C++, test, validation, and maintenance across the software lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code; document applications, architecture, and design specifications.
• Participate in product reviews and uphold engineering standards and best practices.
• Provide technical direction, build team capability, work with customers, support proposals, and understand team financial planning.

Required qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, subject to local laws and regulations.
• Experience with object-oriented system and application development, particularly C++; Unix/Linux; data structures; design principles; and algorithms for high-concurrency and distributed systems.
• Experience leading or managing a team.
• Active Secret DoD security clearance required before starting and on day one.

Preferred qualifications

• Preferred: communication, technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills; customer-facing technical leadership; radar modeling and simulation or missile defense experience.
• Preferred: radar design and analysis knowledge, shell scripting, Python, Git, software debuggers, Product Owner certification or registration, and Earned Value Management knowledge.
• Java, C#, or Ada experience is listed as preferred.

• The position requires exclusive onsite presence in Huntsville, Alabama, United States.

Compensation
