Join WestJet’s Pricing and Revenue Management Team to optimize revenue and define price points in response to market strategy, consumer demand, and competition.
The role owns strategy for part of the airline route network, with responsibility for a portion worth over $100 million annually.
Key deliverables
- Analyze large data sets on capacity, competition, schedules, and inventory to develop, implement, and track revenue strategies.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Analytics, Alliances, Rewards, and Vacations teams, including senior leadership.
- Implement fare products across distribution channels using WestJet tools and systems.
- Prepare performance reports and forward-looking strategy presentations for leadership.
- Monitor airline pricing and KPIs, communicate market impacts, and adjust strategies to meet goals.
Experience and qualifications
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; prior analyst experience or business decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to independently manipulate large data sources and produce actionable analysis or reports.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred; listed fields include Economics, Math, Statistics, Business, Engineering, Finance, and Computer Science.
- Pricing and revenue management theory, airline tools such as ATPCO, Sabre, SNTE, or PROS, and tools such as Tableau, Cognos, or Power BI are assets, not requirements.
- Willingness to learn and a strong competitive spirit.
