Power BI Lead | Business Intelligence & Analytics

Role summary

BI solution delivery

• Architect enterprise BI solutions, semantic models, and reusable datasets.
• Set standards for modeling, DAX, Power Query, report design, accessibility, optimization, and documentation.
• Build dashboards, scorecards, and reports aligned with business KPIs and needs.
• Implement governance, workspace management, deployment pipelines, CI/CD, version control, RLS, and OLS.
• Integrate BI with Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks, SQL Server, APIs, and enterprise applications.
• Optimize datasets, calculations, refreshes, and capacity for scalable, reliable performance.

Leadership and stakeholder engagement

• Mentor BI developers and analysts through reviews, knowledge sharing, and delivery oversight.
• Work with business, IT, and senior stakeholders to translate requirements into measurable analytics and promote self-service BI.
• Support demonstrations, estimates, proposals, client workshops, and improvement using Fabric, Copilot, and emerging BI/AI capabilities.

Required experience and skills

• 7–8 years in BI, Data Analytics, or enterprise reporting, including 4–5+ years of hands-on Power BI experience.
• Advanced Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M), dashboard development, visualization, and performance tuning expertise.
• Knowledge of star and snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and semantic models.
• Hands-on SQL, relational databases, ETL/ELT, and Azure data ecosystem experience, including Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks, and Fabric.
• Experience governing enterprise BI environments and leading BI projects or development teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, including senior and CXO engagement.

Preferred qualifications

• Microsoft Power BI or Fabric certification is preferred.
• Agile delivery, enterprise analytics transformation, and AI-enabled analytics experience are preferred.

Contract duration

• The stated duration is one year, with extension indicated.
