NYU Abu Dhabi's Division of Engineering seeks a motivated Post-Doctoral Associate to conduct structural mechanics research under Prof. Khaled Shahin.
Research responsibilities
- Conduct innovative structural mechanics research in collaboration with PhD-level scientists and undergraduate students.
- Publish in scientific journals and conference proceedings.
- Mentor undergraduate students and assist with grant proposals.
Qualifications
- Applicants must hold a PhD in civil or mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
- Applicants must be less than five years past receipt of their doctoral degree.
- A strong background in fiber-reinforced polymer composites is required.
- Experience testing, manufacturing, or modeling FRP composites is preferred.
