Planning Engineer - Civil

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions throughout projects.
• Prepare schedules and coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects.
• Monitor compliance with applicable codes and practices and with quality assurance and quality control policies.
• Compare development project costs with estimates and support project managers in monitoring and reporting costs.
• Supervise staff carrying out plans, programs, and services.
• Coordinate with project managers to deliver projects to clients and manage scope, budgets, timelines, and change orders.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date project management systems.
• Perform design, development, and analysis to support assigned projects.
• Prepare project plans, design extensions, and contract submittals.
• Conduct site visits during development and construction to manage the design process.
• Coordinate and integrate technical activities and engage internal resources to fulfill project needs.
• Generate client project-status reports and track and improve production of self-performed work.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in a Dubai construction company; high-rise experience is mandatory.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, business administration, engineering, human resources, or civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with AutoCAD 2 and 3 and PRAMVERA software and systems.
• Prior consulting experience is listed as a qualification.
• Experience with change orders, site design, project design, and explaining cost estimates.
• Experience with drawing and site design, especially for high-rise buildings.
• Demonstrated collaboration and critical thinking, and dedication to continuous improvement.
• Ability to lead and problem solve; strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Pay

• AED 8,000–12,000 per month.

• Work is in person in Dubai.
