Role overview
Junior Planning Engineer supporting senior planning and project management teams on construction and engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and updating project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Collect daily or weekly site data and record actual progress against planned milestones.
- Help prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, look-ahead schedules and basic performance dashboards.
- Maintain logs for shop drawings, material approvals and long-lead procurement items.
- Gather data from site supervisors, cost estimators and subcontractors for resource and manpower loading sheets.
- Attend progress coordination meetings and note schedule-related constraints or delays.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- The description says similar roles often involve entry-level to 2–3 years of experience.
Pay
- AED 4,000–8,000 per month.
