Physical Security Officer

Role purpose

Key accountabilities

• Ensure applicants complete all activities required to obtain airport passes on time.
• Support applicants with applications and supporting documentation.
• Verify documentation against current requirements, policies, and statutory obligations.
• Follow procedures for airport security and other pass types.
• Maintain current knowledge of pass application processes and update internal procedures when needed.
• Liaise with police, airport pass offices, airport authorities, and applicants.
• Track applications and keep applicants informed of progress.
• Maintain databases, files, and trackers in line with operational, statutory, and audit requirements.
• Answer and redirect telephone calls professionally and pass messages to the correct person.
• Follow information security policies and attend safety and information security awareness sessions.
• Perform similar duties as directed by senior management.

Knowledge and experience

• At least two years of experience in data processing and administration.
• Knowledge of online and manual government pass application processes.
• Knowledge of airport security requirements, including physical access control.
• Aviation industry experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of administration and management processes within a large organization.
• Diploma-level education is listed as the educational level.
