Assess fitness levels and exercise programs, develop personalized exercise plans, and provide fitness counseling.
Provide exercise guidance, support recreation activity registration, and help maintain a safe and welcoming recreation facility.
Role responsibilities
- Advise individuals on correct methods of exercising with fitness equipment.
- Provide information and register and schedule guests for recreation activities.
- Contact maintenance or an outside service company when machines need service; maintain cups and water in the recreation area.
- Promote a fun, relaxing atmosphere and facility rules that protect guests and members.
- Assist management with employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, coaching, and related staff processes.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and follow company policies.
- Welcome guests, address service needs, communicate professionally, and maintain positive working relationships.
- Process payments for recreation, rentals, and retail sales; use computers or point-of-sale systems for work information.
- Maintain quality standards, recommend improvements, and visually inspect equipment for defects.
Required qualifications
- CPR certification and First Aid certification are required.
- Fitness equipment certification or training, and any certification or training required by local and state agencies, are required.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Less than one year of related work experience preferred.
- No supervisory experience is listed as preferred.
Schedule and work setting
- Full-time, in-person role at the Dubai recreation facility; the position is not remote.
- The work may require standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods; lifting or moving up to 50 pounds; and moving on uneven or slippery surfaces.
