Role overview
A leading healthcare facility in the UAE seeks a Specialist Periodontist with expertise in gum disease and conditions affecting the supporting structures of teeth.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage periodontal conditions; conduct examinations and treatment planning.
- Provide non-surgical and surgical care, including scaling, root planing, periodontal surgery, and soft-tissue procedures.
- Manage advanced and complex cases, perform implant-related periodontal procedures where appropriate, and provide long-term maintenance.
- Collaborate with dental specialists, educate patients, and maintain accurate clinical records.
Qualifications and requirements
- BDS, DDS, or equivalent dental degree.
- MDS, MS, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Periodontics or Periodontology.
- Minimum three years of post-specialization experience is preferred.
- Strong clinical and surgical periodontal skills; periodontal surgery and implant-related experience are advantageous.
- Excellent patient communication and treatment-planning skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary dental team.
