An experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist is sought for a healthcare facility in the UAE.
The role focuses on diagnosing and managing digestive system disorders and providing advanced gastroenterology care.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and biliary system.
- Evaluate and treat inflammatory bowel disease, GERD, peptic ulcers, and liver disorders.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient outcomes.
- Manage complex cases and coordinate care with other specialists.
- Consult with patients with chronic digestive and gastrointestinal conditions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and high patient safety standards.
- Guide and support junior medical staff where required.
Qualifications and requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- MD/DNB in General Medicine or equivalent, plus DM/DNB or equivalent Gastroenterology specialization.
- Significant post-specialization experience at Consultant level.
- Experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient management skills.
