The Pastry Chef is responsible for overseeing and managing the pastry production process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality pastry items and ensure adherence to brand-specific recipes to uphold image and customer satisfaction.
- Implement a variety of safety procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations, maintaining laboratory security conditions, and promptly reporting any irregularities to the designated reporting line.
- Train team members in pastry techniques and hygiene standards.
- Control and monitor monthly inventory by ensuring adherence to established measures and promptly addressing any discrepancies.
- Oversee raw materials and the manufacturing process, monitor the expiry dates of imported products, and manage any abnormalities as they arise.
- Take all necessary measures to minimize waste and implement control actions to achieve forecasted food costs.
- Ensure compliance with company and HACCP standards and manage relevant reports accordingly.
- Plan, organize, and research new aspects of brand products aimed at meeting or exceeding set sales targets, and share findings with team members accordingly.
- Ensure that all daily requested pastry products are delivered to the shops via requisition orders and in accordance with relevant guidelines.
Qualifications
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Food Safety Level - Level two.
- Technical degree in Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Four to six years of experience in F&B Operations, or a similar role; one year of experience in a managerial role.
