Oversee the creation of high-quality pastries, manage a team of bakers, and maintain consistent production, hygiene, and efficiency.
Work in a high-volume bakery production environment.
Production and quality
- Oversee production of pastries, cakes, and baked goods.
- Develop and standardize recipes; conduct quality checks against production standards.
- Experiment with recipes and techniques to enhance the product range.
Team leadership
- Supervise and train bakers and pastry assistants.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, provide feedback, and conduct skills training.
Inventory and cost control
- Manage raw-material and ingredient inventory and maintain stock levels.
- Coordinate with procurement to source quality ingredients at optimal cost.
- Minimize waste and maintain cost-effective production without compromising quality.
Hygiene and safety
- Comply with UAE food-safety regulations, HACCP, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain production-area cleanliness and organization and implement safety protocols.
Qualifications and experience
- 8 to 15 years in a similar role, preferably in an industrial kitchen, catering company, or hotel.
- Secondary-level education diploma is an advantage.
- Requires strong pastry-production, ingredient-handling, baking-science, scheduling, food-safety, and HACCP knowledge.
- Requires creativity in recipe development and excellent communication skills.
Pay
- AED 5,000–15,000 per month.
