Grandiose is recruiting a Sales Associate for its bakery and barista team in the UAE; the posting title identifies the position as a Barista with bakery experience.
Customer service and sales
- Welcome customers and determine their coffee interests and needs.
- Explain the coffee menu and answer questions.
- Sell coffee and brewing equipment by explaining bean and preparation differences and demonstrating equipment.
- Attract new customers and generate revenue through new or expanded products and services.
Coffee preparation and operations
- Prepare and sell drinks such as espresso, espresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino using prescribed recipes and techniques.
- Replenish coffee beans and stock brewing equipment, pastries, cookies, and other supplies.
- Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and arrange repairs.
- Follow organizational standards and sanitation regulations to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Required qualifications
- At least two to three years of barista experience using semi-automatic or manual equipment.
- Diploma in Food and Beverage or a school certificate.
Advantageous experience
- Oven use to defrost bakery products and some baking skills are advantageous, not mandatory.
Pay
- AED 3,200 to AED 3,500 per month.
Work arrangement
- Work location is in person.
