About Pool Academy

Pool Academy Aquatics is an international aquatics coaching and training franchise company with 15 years of experience.

The Dubai branch is an exclusive aquatics partner at an international school campus and is building a teaching team.

The Role

The role delivers learn-to-swim lessons from Parent and Toddler through Stage 6 using the Pool Academy curriculum.

The teacher may also deliver aqua aerobics, private and semi-private lessons, and rostered competitive sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Support competitive swim squads, water polo, and synchro sessions when rostered.
  • Maintain water safety, supervision, and child safeguarding standards.
  • Track swimmer progress and complete assessments using the online booking system.
  • Communicate with parents and school staff.
  • Complete online office hours for planning, reports, communication, and registrations.

Requirements

  • Recognised swimming teaching qualification from Pool Academy Training, Swim England, World Aquatics, or ASCA.
  • Current lifesaving or rescue and CPR/first-aid certification.
  • Minimum two years of teaching experience across multiple age groups and abilities.
  • Fluent English with excellent communication skills with children and parents.
  • Clear background check and strong commitment to child safeguarding.
  • Ability to commute reliably within Dubai.

Hours of Work

  • Part-time teachers work any three days per week within the stated poolside windows, plus online office hours.
  • Poolside windows are Tuesday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday through Saturday from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
  • Sunday shifts are rostered from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
  • Online office hours are two to three hours per day for administration, planning, and training.

Compensation

  • The salary for a fixed three-day weekly schedule is AED 3,500 to AED 4,000 per month depending on qualifications and experience.

Work Location

  • Poolside work is performed in person in Dubai.
