The role

Responsibilities

• Teach learn-to-swim from Parent and Toddler through Stage 6, aqua aerobics, and private and semi-private lessons.
• Support competitive swim squads, water polo, and synchronised swimming sessions as rostered.
• Ensure water safety, supervision, and child safeguarding.
• Track swimmer progress and complete assessments in the online booking system.
• Communicate with parents and school staff.
• Complete online office hours for lesson planning, progress reports, parent communication, registrations, meetings, and training.

Requirements

• Recognized and valid swimming-teaching qualification from PAT, Swim England, ASCA, or World Aquatics.
• Current valid first-aid certification.
• At least two years’ swimming-teaching experience across multiple age groups and abilities.
• Valid UAE residence status through a self-, family-, or employer-sponsored visa.
• Valid police clearance and medical insurance.
• Fluent English and strong communication with children and parents.
• Clear background check and strong commitment to child safeguarding.
• Ability to commute reliably within Dubai.

Hours of work

• Monday is a day off.
• Tuesday through Thursday poolside hours are 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Friday hours are 1:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday shifts are rostered, either 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Mandatory online office hours Tuesday through Friday are up to four hours per weekday.

Pay and offer

• Pay is AED 7,000 to AED 7,750 per month, depending on qualification and experience.

Workplace

• Work is in person at the school campus in Dubai, with poolside shifts and online office hours.
