The role

Responsibilities

• Teach learn-to-swim from Parent and Toddler through Stage 6, plus aqua aerobics and private and semi-private lessons.
• Support competitive swim squads, water polo, and synchronized swimming sessions as rostered.
• Maintain water safety, supervision, and child safeguarding.
• Track swimmer progress and complete assessments on the online booking system.
• Communicate with parents and school staff; complete lesson planning, reports, registrations, and other online office tasks.

Requirements

• Recognized and valid swimming teaching qualification from Pool Academy Training (PAT), Swim England, ASCA, or World Aquatics.
• Current valid first-aid certification and at least two years of teaching experience across multiple age groups and ability levels.
• Valid UAE residence visa sponsored by self, family, or employer; valid police clearance, clear background check, and valid medical insurance.
• Fluent English, effective communication with children and parents, commitment to child safeguarding, and reliable commute within Dubai.
• Available to start immediately.

Hours of work

• Part-time hours across any three days: Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM–9:00 PM; Friday, 1:30 PM–9:00 PM; or Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM–9:00 PM.
• Online office hours Tuesday through Thursday are required, up to three hours per weekday, for administration, meetings, planning, and training.

Pay and development

• Pay is AED 3,000–3,500 per month, depending on qualification and experience.
• Professional development courses, structured curriculum resources, and growth opportunities across South Africa, UAE, India, and the UK are offered.

Work location

• Work is in person at a school campus in Dubai, with poolside hours and online office hours.
