Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead OT cybersecurity solution delivery and design, validate, implement, and commission Purdue-aligned architectures.
• Serve as OT cybersecurity subject matter expert for bids, proposals, tenders, customer specifications, RFIs/RFPs, and technical recommendations.
• Coordinate project execution and issue resolution with project management, engineering, service, support functions, and global business teams.
• Provide technical leadership and governance, promoting secure-by-design practices and standards compliance.
• Develop and validate OT cybersecurity applications, architectures, and defense strategies; conduct risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and hardening.
• Support FAT, SAT, cybersecurity audits, and security assessments throughout project lifecycles.
• Prepare architecture diagrams, hardening guides, test procedures, compliance matrices, and technical reports.
• Train and mentor project engineers and field service teams.

Technical qualifications

• Experience in OT cybersecurity for electrical, power, and industrial automation systems, including asset management, lifecycle management, and inventory control.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment, detection, remediation, risk management, and operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
• Knowledge of Hyper-V or VMware, Active Directory and Domain Controllers, industrial networks, managed switches, firewalls, and DMZ architectures.
• Experience with NIDS, SIEM, data diodes, syslog, WSUS patch management, and Acronis Backup & Restore.
• Knowledge of OT security hardening, access control, network segmentation, routing/VLAN, and security compliance.
• Experience with SCADA, DCS, Energy Management, and Industrial Control Systems; knowledge of IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001, and customer-specific requirements.

Experience and education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of professional experience executing, commissioning, and supporting Energy Management, Power Automation, Industrial Automation, or OT systems projects.
• Certification in ISA/IEC 62443 Expert, GICSP, CISSP, or similar is listed.
• Demonstrated experience in site-based testing, commissioning, maintenance, technical support, and project handover or closure.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for working with customers, project teams, and technical stakeholders.
