The Operations Supervisor oversees day-to-day operational workflows, frontline staff, and execution standards.
The described scope includes supply chain, warehousing, or retail operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations, workflows, schedules, and performance targets.
- Coach and train staff; manage shifts, task allocation, and performance reviews.
- Monitor stock and oversee receiving, shipping, inventory counts, and logistics coordination.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and collaborate with management on process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot operational, equipment, and supply-chain problems to minimize downtime.
- Track metrics, maintain daily logs, and report KPIs to senior management.
Profile and skills
- 3–5 years of experience in operations, logistics, warehousing, or retail administration, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, operations, or a related field.
- Strong leadership, team-management, problem-solving, organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office or Excel.
