Operations Manager – Third-Party Inspection (Oil & Gas) Abu Dhabi, UAE

Role overview

Operations and project delivery

• Lead TPI operations across oil and gas projects; plan source and site assignments at manufacturing facilities, fabrication yards, vendor premises, and project sites.
• Oversee mechanical, electrical, NDT, pressure equipment, lifting equipment, technical assistance, and auditing activities.
• Manage concurrent projects, schedules, KPIs, deliverables, quality compliance, and resource optimization; implement corrective actions.
• Ensure work follows approved ITPs, technical specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable industry standards.

People, clients, and commercial management

• Manage multidisciplinary inspectors, project coordinators, and technical personnel; plan deployment, mobilization, demobilization, rotations, and replacement requirements.
• Coordinate workforce planning, recruitment, training, competency development, utilization, availability, attendance, and performance.
• Act as the operational interface with clients, EPC contractors, vendors, subcontractors, and stakeholders; participate in reviews and resolve operational issues.
• Contribute to budgets, resource forecasts, business plans, cost, revenue, profitability, and utilization monitoring; support proposals and business development.
• Prepare operational reports covering progress, performance indicators, and resource allocation.

Quality, HSE, and compliance

• Ensure compliance with QHSE requirements, technical standards, client procedures, regulatory obligations, approved procedures, and contractual specifications.
• Oversee inspector qualifications, certifications, competencies, and approvals; ensure inspection equipment is maintained, calibrated, and suitable.
• Support continuous improvement of operational processes, service quality, and inspection performance.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
