Job Description – Operations Manager (Multi-Unit Restaurants)

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple restaurant locations, ensuring operational excellence, profitability, compliance, and exceptional guest experiences.

The role focuses on driving business performance, maintaining company standards, supporting restaurant teams, and ensuring efficient manpower planning across all venues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of multiple restaurant outlets to ensure smooth and efficient business performance.
  • Conduct regular site visits to all assigned venues to monitor operations, food quality, service standards, cleanliness, and compliance.
  • Prepare, manage, and monitor the weekly and monthly LEEK planner to ensure efficient manpower allocation across all locations.
  • Plan and optimize manpower deployment based on business requirements, sales forecasts, and operational needs.
  • Coordinate staff transfers between outlets to maintain adequate staffing levels and minimize operational disruptions.
  • Monitor labor costs, productivity, and scheduling to achieve budgeted targets.
  • Ensure all outlets comply with company policies, SOPs, hygiene standards, and UAE health and safety regulations.
  • Work closely with Restaurant Managers to achieve sales, profitability, and operational KPIs.
  • Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports and identify opportunities to improve revenue and reduce costs.
  • Develop action plans to improve operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular operational audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  • Support recruitment by identifying manpower requirements and coordinating hiring requests with HR.
  • Assist in onboarding, training, coaching, and developing restaurant management teams.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide guidance, coaching, and corrective action where necessary.
  • Handle operational escalations, guest complaints, and service recovery to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure inventory controls, stock management, and ordering processes are effectively managed to minimize waste and shortages.
  • Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, finance, HR, and other support departments to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Monitor preventive maintenance requirements and ensure restaurant equipment and facilities remain operational.
  • Lead new restaurant openings, operational transitions, and improvement projects as assigned.
  • Review and approve operational reports, incident reports, and corrective action plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, municipality regulations, food safety standards, and licensing requirements.
  • Prepare regular operational performance reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Perform any other operational duties assigned by senior management.
