Operations Manager – Facade Cleaning
Job Purpose:
The Operations Manager – Façade Cleaning is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering façade cleaning and maintenance operations across multiple commercial and high-rise buildings. The role ensures that services are executed safely, efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory and client requirements while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
The position plays a critical leadership role in managing specialized façade cleaning teams including rope access technicians and cradle operators, ensuring operational excellence, risk management, and strong client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage façade cleaning operations for commercial and high-rise buildings such as airports, malls, hotels and corporate towers.
- Develop façade cleaning schedules based on building type, accessibility, environmental conditions and client requirements.
- Ensure timely and high-quality execution of façade cleaning and maintenance services.
- Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvements to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of façade access equipment including BMUs, cradles, rope access systems, scaffolding and pressure washing equipment.
- Develop and implement Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programs for façade cleaning and maintenance activities.
- Monitor completion of PPM tasks and ensure all services are delivered as per the agreed maintenance schedules.
- Conduct periodic inspections of building façades to identify maintenance requirements and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead and supervise façade cleaning teams including rope access technicians and supervisors.
- Maintain strong client relationships, ensure compliance with SLAs and address operational concerns promptly.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE regulations and work-at-height safety standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and toolbox talks for operational teams.
- Ensure technicians follow proper PPE requirements, permit-to-work procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture across façade cleaning operations.
- Monitor operational performance, manage budgets and resources, and prepare reports related to operations, safety, and service delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience managing façade cleaning and maintenance operations in commercial or high-rise buildings such as airports, malls, hotels, or large commercial complexes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in managing rope access teams, cradle systems, and high-rise façade cleaning operations.
- Experience in implementing PPM programs and using CAFM systems for facilities management operations.
