Role Overview
Operations Managers lead teams that fulfil and dispatch customer orders efficiently and drive safety, quality, and productivity across logistics sites.
The role leads other managers and creates operational plans that help teams meet targets and improve operational excellence.
The position is open at Enfield (DIG1) and Harlow (DHW1).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of Area Managers.
- Lead operational teams on a shift, resolve issues, and positively impact site performance.
- Analyse shift performance against business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence.
- Work with HR, Finance, Health and Safety, Security, and other support teams.
- Design and deliver initiatives across sites to improve operational performance.
Daily Work
- Lead shifts at an operational site and act as a key link between finance, safety, operations integration, and other teams.
- Attend meetings, analyse site performance and risk metrics, and prepare for different levels of demand.
- Mentor and coach the management team while contributing to innovation and new ways of working at the site.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in people management and stakeholder management.
- Experience using data to influence business decisions.
- Experience with operations or supply chain.
- Fluent ability to speak, write, and read English.
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques.
- Experience in a logistics or operations environment.
