The National Crime Agency recruits trainees into a two-year Officer Development Programme.

The programme supports the NCA mission to protect the public from serious and organised crime.
Role and duties
- Build intelligence pictures of serious and organised crime threats.
- Help pursue high-risk offenders and support the law enforcement response to changing threats.
- Develop specialist capability and, after accreditation, participate in serious and organised crime investigations.
- Trainees may develop toward overt or covert investigations and varied NCA careers.
Training and accreditation
- Trainees must evidence competencies relevant to their assigned investigative, intelligence or analytical pathway.
- Successful completion includes passing a series of exams and achieving the relevant NCA accreditation.
- Prior law enforcement experience is not required.

Salary and allowances
- Advertised salary is £32,107.
- London weighting allowance is £4,379 per annum; South East weighting allowance is £3,504 per annum.
