Programme overview
The NCA is recruiting trainees into a two-year Officer Development Programme for investigator, intelligence officer or intelligence analyst pathways.
Successful trainees develop role-specific capabilities and can become accredited NCA Investigators, Intelligence Officers or Analysts.
No prior law enforcement experience is required.
Programme duties
- Develop learning, knowledge and capability through a structured training programme.
- Evidence competence across investigational, intelligence or analytical areas and pass a series of exams.
- Support work to target serious and organised crime and protect the public.
- After accreditation, participate in serious and organised crime investigations to a national standard.
- Contribute to intelligence on crime threats, pursuit of dangerous offenders and specialist law enforcement capabilities.
Programme requirements
- No prior law enforcement experience is required.
- Successful trainees must evidence competencies and pass programme exams to achieve the relevant NCA accreditation.
