Role overview

Office Agent role supporting freight and cargo movements at London Heathrow.

Provide administrative support and coordinate communication across the cargo transportation process while following security and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Answer customer enquiries and resolve shipping-process issues.
  • Process inbound and outbound flights and coordinate carriers, drivers, warehouse teams and other transport parties.
  • Schedule pickups, deliveries and shipments; track shipments and update customers.
  • Maintain accurate records and compliant import and export shipping documentation.
  • Enter data into WFS and airline computer systems; report discrepancies and damages.
  • Support compliance with industry, customs and shipping regulations.
  • Build relationships and liaise with customer airlines and their customers.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication.
  • Customer-service experience is required.
  • Attention to detail, strong organisation and basic IT skills.
  • Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Air-cargo knowledge is desirable.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including eight-hour patterns.

Workplace

  • The role is based with the Office Agents team at London Heathrow and supports airport cargo operations.
