2 Job Purpose

The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organisation's perspective.

Responsible for overseeing nursing operations and ensuring quality patient care.

They manage patient care, develop nursing care plans, and maintain standards.

The Nursing Officer provides staff development and training, fosters collaboration and communication, and ensures compliance with quality assurance and regulatory requirements.

This role plays a vital role in promoting excellence in nursing and enhancing patient outcomes.

3 Main Responsibilities

Policies, Processes and Procedures

Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.

Day-to-day operations

Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the Medical Affairs Division to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.

Patient Care Management

  • Coordinate and supervise nursing staff to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans based on patient needs and medical requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, infection control measures, and patient safety standards.

Staff Development & Training

  • Identify training needs of nursing staff and organize relevant educational programs.
  • Provide guidance and support to enhance nursing skills and competencies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development among the nursing team.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective interdisciplinary patient care.
  • Communicate and liaise with medical staff, administrators, and other departments for seamless operations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting effective teamwork and communication.

Reporting

Prepares section reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards.

Safety, Health & Environment

Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Additional Responsibilities

The post holder may be required to undertake additional duties, which may be reasonably expected and forms part of the function of the post.

Academic & Professional Qualifications

Master degree in Medicine

Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar post

Languages

Minimum English language required is KJO L4 – Intermediate
